Spencer is a private event DJ, fingerstyle guitarist, and the owner of Sutherland Entertainment. He has performed at and managed talent at over 700 weddings. Weddings he’s performed at have been featured in national publications like Brides and wedding blogs like Style Me Pretty, Carats & Cake, and Wedding Chicks.
In addition to performing, he manages the Bay Area branch of his talent agency.

Q: How much control will I have over my music?
A: You have any level of control you prefer. I am at your service. Most clients give me a request list, a preference or two, and leave the rest to me.

Q: Do you play clean versions of songs at weddings?
A: For weddings, I default to the clean version of a song if I own it.
Q: Can I give you a list of songs I do not want played?
A: There is a section for songs you do not want played on my online request list form.
Q: What is your MC style like?
A: My delivery is professional, confident, and to the point. I MC a wedding with about 10 brief announcements like this one, “Ladies and gentlemen please give your warmest welcome to Ariana Grande, maid of honor and first toaster of the evening.”
Q: Do you perform Latin music?
A: I play many Latin styles including salsa, bachata, merengue, and Top 40 Latin. And I speak just enough Spanish to communicate with your Spanish speaking guests if they come to the DJ booth.
Q: Do you have backup equipment onsite?
A: I have a backup solution onsite for every piece of gear I use.
Q: My venue requires my vendors to have liability insurance. Do you have a policy?
A: I have a liability insurance policy and will email a copy to your venue by request.
